sliding doors sienna

Last summer just after warranty expired the sliding doors on our sienna started to not lock properly. This happened regardless of automatic or manually operating the doors. They did not get properly pulled inn at the back and needed an extra push to lock. We took it to the dealer and they apparently repaired it. Until this winter when the problem was back again. Imagine the scare when the door slides open when you are driving and next to the opening is you 5 year old in the child seat, fastened luckily!!

I wonder if anyone else have experienced the same problem with their sienna sliding doors. I need to say that our car has never been in any accidents of any sorts that could possibly explain any displacement issues with the operation of the doors.

The seriousness of the problem and that this kind of error should not occur on a 2 year old vehicle gets me quite p----- off.

So again, I would be interested in hearing if others have experienced the same and any solutions.

The Drivers side sliding-door does not seat correctly and sticks open about 12 mm. This door is not a powered closing door but has a closure assist when latching. Occasionally it is not latched at all when you close it. Then it will open when you accelerate. The door open light is lite %95 of the time. The auto door lock feature is disabled due to the problem, and the vehicle remote lock feature will not work either. How many babies will have to fall out before Toyota deems this a defect recall?
