If someone wants to test drive, how should I handle that?

Asked by HighlanderHy Sep 09, 2020 at 12:29 PM about the 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited AWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I'd like guidance on how best to handle selling my car (which I've listed with
CarGurus) so I don't get scammed. Whats the best way to offer a potential
buyer a test drive? Go with them? Best way to secure payment? Bank check?
Venmo? other? Guidance please, so that I don't get into any trouble

Meet at a police station (one that is not on fire) and go with. Take a friend if you feel the need and take a photo of their DL. Talk to your banker about acceptable payment types. For your car I would suggest cash.
