Can goo gone disolver damage the carburator if poured inside of it?

I don't think Goo Gone is the right stuff for a carburetor. I think what you should be using is regular carburetor cleaner. It's a stronger solvent and it can be sprayed around in the throttle bore where it's needed.

Why would you even think that Goo Gone should be used on the carb?
