there is a possibility that one of these is wired into your electric fan circuit....not shown...but a component~_____http://www.jcwhitney.com/engine-cooling-thermostat- switches/p2000903.jcwx

Damn! There is NO temperature sending unit on this car that operates the fan!!! There is a Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor on each head that the COMPUTER uses to determine when to cool the engine. The computer controls the fan EXCLUSIVELY! I work on a fleet of 800 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors: 2002 to 2013 - same car - different decals - we have cooling fans fail regularly. THE COMPUTER CONTROLS THE FAN BASED ON CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE AND AC DEMAND. NO THERMOSTATS - NO SWITCHES - JUST THE PCM.

And where did you get that ancient (and incorrect) picture? The 2007 4.6L V8 is a coil on plug motor - no plug wires or coil packs - OR ECT!

My 2006 grand marquis only blows hot air. Ac compressor clutch engages then disengages after a few seconds. 134a freon is fully charged. No temp sensor or temp sending unit. Any ideas?

The problem is the fan relay controller located on the electric fan chasi. when standing at the front bumper and looking down into engine compartment, it is on the right between the fans and the serpentine belt. New part YHTBMR0008 is about $20.00 bucks on amazon, and is plug and play. one screw and two wiring harness connectors. It turns the radiator fan on when, 1.) engine gets hot or 2.) ac is turned on. It also controls the fan speed, hi and lo, and in between. it uses an input from the coolant temperature sensor, and its default output is Open, ie no fan. You will overheat your car in stop and go traffic if not replaced. On a side note the AC will blow cold and the engine temp will be normal, but you have to stay above 55 MPH. LOL... Anybody, anybody,...... I am on my 3rd one since I bought my used Marquis, and I'm only at 93,000 miles. 2006 LS 4.6 L
