Are 2007 Mercury Milan known for being sluggish.

My 2007 Mercury Milan 6 cylinder has always run sluggish. I dare not drive
in the left lane because it doesn't take long for cars to be up on my tail. It
doesn't run like a six cylinder. I drive only on the weekend, so the car sits for
five days. But most times it takes almost two hours of driving me to get some
type of reasonable performance from the car, and not have them pass me by
like I am standing still. However, I do add fuel injection in hope it will clean
the system and help improve performance.

Check the general tune condition, plugs, air and fuel filters first, then move onto fuel pressure and exhaust system back pressure. If still a problem then it may be time for a live data scan.

See if there's a healthy blast of exhaust from the tail pipe when you rev the engine to see if the catalytic is clogged , Or a compression test
