Several control arms, and alternator, to water pumps, and axle, transmission, a battery, and regular maintenance have kept my 2012 Jeep patriot running. Currently 216k. It’s not worth fixing any longer. Next time it breaks, it’s dead

“Life-time” auto transmission fluid means the length of the warranty. Just as the original warranty expires by either time or mileage driven, you should replace all of the “lifetime” fluids in your car.

I have a 2014 jeep patriot cvt transmission 113000 miles the transmission dies. No signs of anything going on. I find out jeep had a lot of problems with the cvt transmissions so the next year they quit using them. Why not replace all the bad ones????. Good luck jeep owners.

Wow, that's so sad!! That's not many miles!! I just bought a 2012 Jeep Patriot limited with 61,000 miles on it!! I had a 2009 Honda Accord with 198,000 with no major issues. I hope I don't regret getting a Jeep!!
