Do you mean Overdrive , your transmission won't shift in to the highest gear? First, is there a dash indicator light on? O/D light on or blinking means a electrical problem as been detected, usually within the valve body of the transmission. The shift solenoids. It could either be a solenoid itself for the wires connecting to the solenoid. Have your codes read at a large parts store. They will do it free..write them down and come back here..one of us will help you decide the next step.

I just started experiencing this week on 2008 Rio, weirdly just after getting tires replaced. Maybe they damaged a sensor or wiring.
