Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I took my H3 in for oil change , they check air in tires, check fluids then have to reset computer sensors, the key is locked up. they said the tumblers are bad and it needs replaced. when they reset the computer could it have messed up the key area? that made it lock up?

With no trouble before? Why in the wide wide world of sports were they messing around with your PCM? Or the ignition switch? Am I missing something?

It’s also a way to earn more $100.00 a hour charge.,It’s also possible it was done by trying to use another key the computer recognized this and locked up the system. No No your tumblers are ok,it’s a scam. The tires do not half to have a cp reset and as for the fluids they also do not need to have a reset of the cp,a oil change does require a cp reset for milage to be recognized Read your book or Google the Question.
