The car shut of while driving

Land Rover Discovery 2001 turns on drivers for 10 minutes and then goes off, can't turn back on right away, got to wait for sometime the it turns on and goes off after 10 minutes while driving

Hi there - you don't say if your vehicle is a V8 or Diesel, but if the V8, then I had the exact same problem. The Crank Sensor is the culprit most of the time. They sit near the exhaust, and despite a heat shield seem to fail after a while. It becomes heat sensitive and after about 10 minutes, it gets too hot, shuts down, and then you have to wait until it has cooled and the engine will fire up again. Replace this would be my first suggestion.

Yep, when mine failed it didn't' throw any warning lights, the engine just died like the ignition had been switched off. Nothing after trying to restart either.
