I have a 2003 jaguar s-type and the 'gear box fault' light came on. What does that mean? What can I do to fix it?

Depending on miles. Have dealership do transmission tune up. This will cure default. This should be done by jaguar mechs Only.they will also re program. Should work Avg tune up $200
