Don't mess around and get a mismatch on a thermostat. They're only $5 for a new one. Do it right...do it once. Also, first check your coolant level in the radiator and the overflow bottle. Low coolant makes air bubbles collect in the heater core...no heat. Shocks are no big deal. Just get the standard grade and they will be okay. I doubt these "failed" shocks really failed as in leaking fluid, blown valves.

I thank you for your advice but I checked the price on the thermostat 05 Acura MDX is $63 but truthfully I don't know what's going on I blow the shocks every four months I have to put new shocks and I've been using KYB which supposed to be the best aftermarket shocks but they don't last
