My van runs rough while in gear and sputters when accelerating, but idles fine in park. It has a 5.0 V-8 and 4 speed transmission. Any idea what could be going on?

Check the spark plug wire, and plug,s,then check the distributor cap and button.

If that was what's going on wouldn't it idle rough too?

What about maybe the floats? If the carb was out of tune would it do the same?
