I have a 2005 subaru inpreza wrx sti with the 2.5l turbo 6 speed manual. i just bought this car and when i got it the car had the mass air flow sensor unhooked and it idles up and down. but when i plug the sensor in it falls on its face. it dont want to go. so i bougtht a new mass air sensor and it didnt change a thing. any ideas on what it could be.

bad wiring or they had a map sensor in insead of the maf sensor is my guess. what are the cars mods?

im pretty sure its mostly stock and when i bought new one i made sure it was the maf sensor

check out the forums on iwsti.com or nasioc.com and c if anyhone else has has a similar issue. if not throw up a post and c if ankyone has any ideas

if you have fine boost and accel, then the previous owner may have it tuned for speed density, other then that there could be a secondary aftermarket maf/mas hooked up that the computer is using
