Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Saab 9-3 has a stiff steering problem when it is stationary and it only goes away after I move. But it is not the same anymore, feels like steering joints are the issue. Any advise?

Might want to look at these owners forums too; there are threads about the P/S there: http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=206016 and http://www.saablink.net/forum/car-problems-new-9-3-only/40896.htm

Hi< thanks for the answers. My mechanic had a look and found that it was the power seering pump that needed fixing. So is it worth it to recondition it or get a new one?

Remanufactured with one year warranty $115...could not find price for new, may be dealer only, and that would cost you your first ~born child.

Did the replacement fix your issue? I'm having the same problem.

My steering is really stiff until car warms up and then is fine all day . But same problem exists every day . Is it the PS pump ?
