1998 olds 88 Ls engine won't turn over

put key in ignition,dash lights come on,souds like fuel pump runs no blinking
security light but starter won't spin

try tapping the starter with a hammer lightly may be starter is sticking which indicates bad starter

I will try, but not even a click from starter and all dash lights go out when key is turned to start
