engine missfiring and manifold gets hot enough to melt ground effects

my kia is misfiring bad it started  a couple of days ago .parts house says it was misfiring on the 2 cylinder .  then it got so bad that the car would not drive and only keep a rough idle. +today i changed all the spark plugs. so it drives again  with a bad miss and the manifold gets so hot it melts the ground effects. i think if i give it a lot of gas it overloads and back fires in the manifold  i need some good ideas to fix this problem it is my house holds only car

Have the coils been replace? The miss is probably causing the manifold to get too hot; I suggest getting it fixed as soon as possible or damage could be done to the manifold.
