Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a problem with my 2001 Town and Country and it has been like this for
the 8 years I've had it. It drives fine when you accelerate normally but if you
stomp on the gas like entering an expressway the van almost dies and loses all
power and acceleration. I've searched the internet and no one seems to have
an answer to this problem. Any idea's would be great.

There could be many possibilities but 2 things I can think of are either tranmission issues or your exhaust system & catalytic converter needs service/replacement. Best to take it to a qualified auto repair shop for extensive diagnosis.

Thank you! These are the two things I was thinking also. I'm not getting a code on the catalytic converter but understand that it could still be an issue. For the transmission, I didn't no if to look at the solenoid pack or the TCM itself. Also, I didn't know if there was still something like a kick down cable on these models. Thanks again for your help, any additional info would be great!
