Engine size in 91 k5

Asked by BlownDiesel Aug 19, 2016 at 02:27 PM about the 1991 Chevrolet Blazer 2-Door 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I am going to buy a 91 k5 blazer and I was
wondering what engine I could fit into it. The one I
was looking at was a 5.9L 24V cummins. Would that
fit? What kind of modifications would I have to
make to make it. Keep in mind I still need to fit AC
and everything

The line had engine options that ranged from 4.1 L to 6.6 L's and a 6.2 L diesel. I've seen 90's blazers with blown 454's in them, so you can pretty much fit anything in these. Obviously modifications will range from mild to severe depending on how radical you get.

It will "fit" but it's an entire custom job. I've seen it done before so there is bound to be info on the internet. U can tell you your tans won't carry over. And your accessories wont. Nor will the motor mount locations or radiator. Ac will be a struggle
