Camry fuel pump relay

Im trying to determine if I located the
correct relay for the fuel pump , does
anyone know Exactly where the fuel
pump relay is located? Theres too many
forums saying well I think it here or I
think Toyota changed it to a whole unit
on the side of  the steering column , I'm
having a problem. I have a 2007 camry
se 2.4 that wants to and almost starts
but wont start . It actually  has started
at times, one day it starts then go to
start it later on and now wont start .
So I jump it with another car so I don't
drain the camry battery because have to
keep turning it over for at least 20 mins
and more also when this problem
started I would have to step on the gas
pedal about 1/4 way down to open
butterfly in throttle body so  I replaced
the maf sensor, temp sensor, then
changed the fuel pump because
realized I couldn't hear the pump going
on,  also had the garage look at because
I got so frustrated, he ended up
charging me 231.00 saying 90.00 to
diagnose and 95.00 to program the Maf
sensor which after checking it to that
you only have to turn on the key and let
idle and its reprogrammed.,and oil
change , at that point the car did start
when I picked it up and then the next
day it wouldn't start doing the same
thing , so wasted 231.00 and I also cant
believe I bought another fuel pump i
jumped the gun on that one because the
other pump is good I jumped it off the
battery and it's working , anyway it
started a few times now it wont start, so
I tested the wires at the fuel pump plug
and i have no power to the pump , I
know it should have one wire light up for
about 3 seconds to prime pump but it's
not doing this , this is why I'm going to
the fuel pump relay now , I think the car
was starting here and there because the
relay was working but now died out .
I found a relay under the hood in fuse
box it's a 5 pin relay , I looked up the
part number from the relay on google
and fuel pump relay information pops
up so I believe this is the one just dont
want to pay 45 for another one if it's not
that relay. Any help would be
appreciated..

Toyota's FP Relay is difficult to find because Toyota calls this relay a Circuit Opening Relay. It is located under the hood....driver side...in a Fuse Relay Box. Lift the cover of this FR Box and look at the underside of said cover. Do you see a C/OPN indication. If not indicated...the relay is integrated into the circuit board under the fuses and relays located there. Testing this ...integrated relay..... requires the use of a Digital Volt Meter. The best way to see if you have power to the FP...you need to check the power with the engine CRANKING.

BTW.........the wire in question is a Green wire. If the green wire is hot when the engine is cranking...the relay works.

Thank you last_ chance_ garage I will double check that wire when I get home, I did put a tester on each wire and cranked it and there's no power coming out of the FP plug but I'll double check to confirm.. Also, I didnt see that symbol on the fuse cover under hood , which I was afraid of that being the case and it would be the C/OPN, of course it cant be an easy fix on replacing the relay. Why is it that on a Toyota parts page it was showing the #2 relay under the hood was associated with the fuel pump ? This is or was the reason I pulled that relay to see if it was no good. What's strange is that the car has been doing this for a few weeks but then the guy from the garage came by and he said it started so I picked it up and it started and then wouldn't start again and then a few days later it started again and now it wont start , almost as its random could a relay do this as maybe its faulty or do they just crap out ? Thx

Well...since the FP......COPN relay is still in question...try this. Call a Toyota dealership and ask if they have a Fp relay in stock and how much. Ask them if its a regular relay...or.....a integrated cicuit board relay. Be advised...they might need the VIN number of your vehicle to find the correct part number. Get back with results.

On a 2013 Camry there is a row of four relays, one of which is the fuel pump relay, located in the underhood junction box. They are integrated inside a black plastic case that when unlatched can be slid out.

Interesting. So...on a 2013 Camry......is the FP Relay IDed as FP relay or a Circuit Opening Relay?
