2007 Camry Jerking while accelerating

I have a 2007 Camry. When I accelerate the car
jerks. Not really sure what the problem is. The
check engine light is on and today while it was
jerking the check engine light began blinking. Any
ideas?

Is it jerking while switching gears and when it jerks dose and feel or sound like metal slamming together.

Crazy thing is it doesn’t jerk every single time. I don’t hear metal slapping or any other sound. I just drove it and it drove fine but I tend to feel the jerk more during gentle accelerations (from 0-40 mph).

When was your last transmission fluid and filter has been changed.

Nick im having the same issue but when i rev it up trying to accelerate i do hear a metal clanking noise but it doesn't sound like its coming from the tranny. Also it slows way down when trying to go up hill like loss of power and it will not go into overdrive.
