Are the transmissions The same in a 1500 series and a 2500 eries 1990 chevy truck

You will need to check the casing number on both transmissions.

1500 autos were almost always a 4l60. The 2500 could have that, a 4l80 or maybe a th400. I think the 400 wasnt made that late. Just compare the pans. There will be differences
