Bogs down on highway.

Asked by Rcs95k2500 May 07, 2019 at 09:09 PM about the 1995 Chevrolet C/K 2500 Silverado Extended Cab LB HD 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a 95 Chevy k2500 and for a few
weeks now it has been bogging down and
sputtering at highway speeds.  It will bog and
decrease in speed for a few seconds then
pick right back up and accelerate quickly.
Once this starts if continues to happen
gradually getting worse till it starts to fall on
its face from a stop.  I have replaced the fuel
pump, fuel pump sending unit, fuel filter,
rebuilt the throttle body, new spark plugs,
new plug wires, new distributor cap and
rotor, new ignition control module, new
throttle position sensor, new ignition coil, and
went through the wiring harness looking for
bare wires as well as insulating everything in
new heat resistant conduit.

No maf sensor. It had a random misfire condition but with everything I’ve replaced on the ignition system that issue is solved. Put a new ecm in today and it’s had no change other than now it’s also shifting hard
