I have a 95 chevy k2500 4x4 5.7 all of a sudden it red lines in every gear at about twenty. Most likeley tranny. But i need to know where to start? Any suggestions?

Start by checking the tranny fluid,then may not hurt to service it,meaning change fluid and filter in tranny.

Fluid was the very first thing i checked and shes golden. Im wondering if the filter fell out

I only say that cause i hit aomeones bumper right before it happened. im assuming i start unbolting from under the truck to look at it. But where ?

Drop the pan on the tranny,drain fluid,and change the filter,if you search youtube,there are video,s of how to do this.

Im sure i sound pathetic but this truck is giveing me a run for money every other day. With more problems than just this. Thanks for any imput.
