Spark plus aren't getting fire and fuel pump isn't coming on

You might be looking at a security system problem. Do you have a security system light on or is the Passkey Fault light staying on? If so, that's what's going on. Hope that helps! Jim

The pass key could be an issue but the car will not crank at all when that is activated. Check the fuse box under the hood on passenger side. Make sure a fuse has not blown or in the case of these cars as they get older corroded terminals. Look for grounds that might have become loose or broken or again corroded. Inspect the connectors feeding the computer (located under the airbox in the front driver side) make sure no signs of water damage are present.

This is the VATS security system. It may crank but not run. Or it may run a few seconds then die. Jim
