I have a 99 riv and when I try to open the doors on both sides the handles don't work. It doesn't matter if I use the keyfob or the door key it makes a sound as if it is engaging the lock/unlock but the handle doesn't open. any suggestions?

battery is fully charged the car starts fine with the automatic starter
