What damage if any could happen to my 1996 Buick park Ave ultra if I don't repair my traction control light on

Could damage happen to my car if the traction control light is on and I don't repair it?

I agree with Tom. The traction control light in my 1995 Park Avenue has been going on for almost ten years now whenever the car gets moving with no damage whatsoever. The traction control doesn't work, that's all. Since I don't really need it, I haven't had it fixed so far and the car is doing fine.
