If your vehicle has a supercharged engine everything under the hood is configured to operate around the presence of the supercharger, i.e., serpentine belt, water pump and particularly the ECU-Engine Control Unit or Control Module, the terms are interchangeable. Have it serviced before it breaks and save yourself a lot of cash, headaches and engine parts or engine.
