Transmission slippage

Asked by Alan Aug 17, 2021 at 03:25 PM about the 2002 Buick LeSabre Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: General

My transmission is slipping primarily when turning left and accelerating or when
braking hard. Is this an indication the transmission is failing? Is this a simple
repair, or is it best to replace it altogether?

Sounds like low fluid level. Try topping the fluid off but the damage may require a rebuild.

It is a fluid level. Now I just need to identify where the leak is.
