P0401 code

Got a p0401 code changed the egr, air  check
VALVE, air solenoid and clean egr pipe of any
carbons. Cleared the code after about 8 miles light
came back. On .rescanned same code P0401. Any
suggestions, frustrated!!!!!

First you need to find out if the egr valve is even opening. Would make sense to have a insufficient flow code if the valve isnt opening.. if you have a multi meter you can ohm the egr valve for an open circuit.. unplug the connector and itll be the two outer pins. The three middle pins are the position sensor
