Most Buicks use regular fuel 87 octane. However if you’re so inclined you can experiment with fuel octanes and see if you notice any mileage differences between the three ratings. Usually it takes three tanks of rack fuel to get a good reading. My Park Avenue used regular and that is what it liked.

If you don't use the car much I'd suggest premium. It keeps better. I last filled up my 2000 Grand Prix (same engine) with premium and no stabilizer in December of 2018. Obviously I don't use the car much as it still has a quarter tank. I do run it periodically and it always starts right up and runs fine. But, if this is more like a daily driver, then regular is just fine. Hope that helps! Jim
