Interior lights

My'06 Lacrosse blew the fuse for
interior/map lights. Now I think I have a
short because every fuse I try to put in blows
instantly. Any ideas or suggestions as to
how to fix it

First place to look is the lighter socker.....formerly known as the cigar lighter. If anything metallic is in there it will blow the fuse.
