The system needs to have the air bled off.

I sometimes have to burp my Buick when it runs hot. By burp I'm mean slighty loosen the radiator cap when it runs hot to let pressure off but Not loosen it enough for water or steam to come out. I leave it like this until the coolant quits bubbling in the reservoir. I think it get air pockets in the system and doesn't let the fluid flow like it should, it could possibly be a bad radiator cap or the wrong pressure cap.
