Why is the car stalling out?

Asked by Justnotnice May 25, 2021 at 06:01 AM about the 1998 Buick Century Custom Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My wife has a 98 buick century custom (3.1) and about once or twice a week it
loses power and dies when coming to a stop. It starts right back up afterwards.
I have replaced the fuel filter, Air filter and oil.  I have also cleaned the Mass
Airflow Sensor and checked any vacuum lines I could get to.

try some injector cleaner on a 1/4 tank and a stretch of high way , top it off with new gas after 5 miles or so . See what the injectors look like .

Perhaps it is time for a tune up? Clean the throttle body and intake sensors.
