05 Chrysler town & country slow acceleration/over revs

Asked by Cnuttynut2688 Jul 26, 2020 at 05:01 PM about the 2005 Chrysler Town & Country FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 05 Chrysler town and country, my problem is when
i give it gas it accelerates slowly. Sometimes i have to push
the gas peddle all the way down to get it to start moving
even then it wont accelerate very fast. It will pick up speed
as i slowly let off the gas. but then as the RPM'S raise to a
certain point the acceleration will cut out and the engine
will start to over rev as if its red lining.

Any lights lit up on the dash indicating a problem? Maybe it's your transmission or throttle related?
