won't start

Asked by brankjames Aug 20, 2013 at 11:15 PM about the 2000 Chrysler Town & Country Limited LWB FWD

Question type: General

I stopped to get gas, it started for a minute and it died, the oil light came on and i put a quart of oil in it and after 15 minutes it finally started and i drove it 3 miles down the road and it died while i was on the interstate so i pulled off and it would not start back,so what do you think could be wrong with it?

I hate to say it because that happened to me but if your engine sounds like it was knocking and you had no oil in the car for a while you could have blown the engine. My Toyota corolla did that to me because there was no oil light and something just prompted me to check it and it was bone dry. Hopefully that's not the case with you.
