The mileage estimates on new vehicles, even with the recent reformulation of the calculations by the EPA, seem to be a bit high. I typically see a mixture of driving getting more towards the lower "city" mileage or somewhere between -- never seem to see the high end of the scale on any of the new cars I've owned recently.

I have gotten 26 while driving on I-5, but generally I get anywhere from 10-20 in the city and 23 on the freeway.

On a normal day of driving 75/hour i get around 25mi/gal, but lately with the increasing gas prices i have slowed down to 65 and get a good 30-32mi/gal...

I live in a mountain town. I get around 21-23MPG when my wife drives it's usually a lot better though.

Ummm...no way on my 2002 EX. Still don't even after keeping up on all maintenance items plus 4 wheel alignment (lifetime at Firestone...good deal) and of course, a couple extra pounds of pressure now in the tires (previous set wore like they were all underinflated). 22-24 on the highway with cruise set around 70. Gets worse from there if in town. Also worse in hilly/mountainous terrain on cruise because it downshifts at the slightest incline with two or more occupants and a little cargo.
