Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT
supercharged I do the soft parts rebuild on
the tranny and drove it for a little while and
the tranny went out no gears. I took it apart
and the pump shaft on the torque converter
side the spline were twisted hand on the
pump side they were ground down at the
end of the splines so I replace a torque
converter with the revised GM torque
converter and replace the shaft I forgot the
pump in the pump seemed fine I put it all
together drove it for a little while and it did it
again except this time it was just the pump
side splines was ground down at the end. So
then I took it apart replace the shaft again
and replace the pump put it back in and
drove it around for about a week it did it
again I haven't worn it out yet but my guess
is the pump site again is ground down but
also when I replace the torque converter I
seem to have lost quite a bit of power 1 why
would replacing a torque converter with the
revised GM torque converter cause me to
lose power so used to be able to smoke the
tires at 15 mile an hour punch and now I
can't do that at all. 2 why does it keep
grinding down at the pump even with a
brand new pump what is causing this to do
that continuously this will be the fourth time
I make the tranny out I do have an
underdrive pulley on supercharger it's a 3.4
can somebody please help me

I would just find a used transmission and put it in. Sounds like the one you have has serious issues that probably aren't worth trying to find.

But this tranny has been rebuilt and has all new parts. I'm just wondering why the shaft keeps grounding the splines down at the pump even with a new pump in a week's to two weeks time.

Maybe find a friendly transmission shop or mechanic who can look at that part and give you some direction. Unfortunately that question goes beyond my experience and knowledge level.
