Service traction system lights

07 Pontiac Grand Prix. My service traction system
light has started to come on and will cause the car
to actually die. Once I recrank though I'm fine. Also
I don't know if this is related but sometimes when I
mash my brakes it sounds like a scrubbing sound
I'm assuming that's from the ABS. What could be
the cause of this. I thought maybe I just needed a
tune-up but I'm not sure and it's getting too cold for
me to have my car dying please help

I have a 2004 & my abs light comes on and it too dies! I can't afford a new car. I wonder if it is related to my transmission slipping from time to time!! ??? Please Help.
