2007 Grand Prix Theft System Issues

I have recently purchased a 07 Grand Prix from a family
friend on the premise of it having a bad transmission. When
we got the new transmission in I realized that we put a GM
907 in there instead of a 908. When we got everything
hooked together, my car wouldn't start with the key or the
remote start. It did start by crossing the solenoids and it
ran fine when running. My mechanic suggested that it
could either be the remote start or the keys need to be
relearned. Whilst checking the remote start, my car started
freaking out and put itself into theft mode. How do I get it
out of theft mode?

Do a key relearn. If the security light is flashing let it sit for about 10 minutes with the key on and engine off. When the light goes off try starting it but don't turn the key off. If it fails to start keep repeating the method. Sometimes takes 3 times.
