Can I add an after market trailer hitch on my 2007 grand vitara?

I would like to put a trailer hitch on my Grand Vitara to pull an 2 horse trailer. Is my car have the towing capacity and could one be installed?

you need to check how much the trailer and horses weigh. a class 3 hitch for your car is only rated at 3500 lbs. anything heavier than that is too much for your car. you will also need an electric brake controller to make the brakes on the trailer work. otherwise, you will overpower the brakes on your car and won't be able to stop. a larger vehicle would have a heavier tow rating as well as being more stable in crosswinds.

that vehicle is not rated to tow what you want to tow- as madmopar said, the car is rated for 3500 with a factory installed hitch- if you add on one after the fact, it is only rated for 2000 becasue it wouldn't have the necessary coolers. you will need a bigger vehicle.
