Recently bought a 1994 "4WD" 1500 Suburban with a 5.7 engine.

Found out the 4WD electrical cable was disconnected underneath sub so I connected it and then discovered the front wheels are not moving at all.  

Where should I start to get it fixed and can I even fix it myself or does it have to go to the shop?

If it has to go the the pros, any ideas what it will cost to fix?

Any input greatly appreciated.

Check that the driveshaft going up to the front axle spins in 4x4, that burb should have auto locking hubs, so if the front driveshaft spins and the wheels don't move then the problem is in the front end's hub actuators or a 4x4 shifter sensor/fuse. If the shaft doesn't spin, the T case has a problem
