My 1993 T&C seems to drop into 2nd gear as we are driving and will continue to stay in 2nd until I stop for a while.

This seems to be an intermittent problem. One person told me that the transmission will need to be replaced, another said it could be the speed control sensor. I don't want to spend lots of time changing parts, I just want to fix it. any suggestions?

Not exactly sure about the setup on your vehicle, but here's a few things to check. First and least expensive, have your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) checked. If that is good, have the speedometer module checked. If that is malfunctioning, you will need to replace the entire dash cluster. Finally, if neither of those are broken, your engine computer is probably bad and will need to be replaced.
