Ford Fusion won't start

My 2007 Ford Fusion literally turned
off while driving the other day and
will not start. It turns over and lights
and radio come on, but car will not
crank. There is also a light with a car
and lock blinking red when
attempting to start. Please help. I am
a single mom with limited income
and cannot afford costly
assumptions or repairs. Thank you in
advance.

Just a guess. Something triggered your security system (red lock blinking) and it thought it was being stolen, shut down. Maybe disconnect the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer. If you have a bundle of other car keys on the key ring, remove them. Those electronic keys, sent signals, that may have confused your car's security system. I hope the best for you. I too have the same issues with my 2007 fusion. Except now I got it working, but only sometimes. Sometimes the car just clicks when I turn the key. After about 10 times it will start. It also died all of a sudden when sitting in park. Did anyone find a solution to this?
