Replace the fuel filter. It's cheap and a good maintenance practise. Also have some one connect your car to a scanner. It may reveal a stored code for you Fred
Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery, ground the cable end for 30 seconds, reconnect, turn key to ON position, wait for fuel pump to stop pumping, start truck.
dont know if the fuel filter or an ignition porblem..
