what do I do after changing oil in a grand caravan to stop the chane oil message?

You need to reset it to 100% by following instructions in your user manual. If you do not have it, start your car and select the dash switch that allows you to change the display on the dash. Cycle through the options and you may come across one that asks you if you want to reset the oil life monitor. Answer as it instructs and that should do it.
