2007 Chevy Trail Blazer

Asked by GuruSZPC2 May 13, 2019 at 08:19 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car shut off as I was driving. I started slowing down and
pushing the has did nothing. Then my steering wheel
stiffened and my car came to a stop. The wheel and pedals
locked up and would not start back up. The battery turned
over but that's it. Tried to jump it. Didn't work. Checked the
has line and it spits out when I start it but still won't start.
Everything turns on though.

Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good, positive and negative. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs, if spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. Any applicable trouble codes? Those are the basic checks, in my opinion. Yes, if vehicle is stalling you'll probably lose power steering and braking will be harder.
