I put a brand new transmission in my 1995 Chevy Tahoe 4by4 and it will only start in reverse not park what would b the problem and how can I fix it?

Other than not starting in park it runs and
shifts great . I just don't get why it shifts in
reverse and not in park  or neutral?

The betray safety switch on the side of the trans is adjustable. They just got if wrong. It's an easy fix
