I have a 1996 Saturn SL2 it is downshifting it is a automatic I change the speed sensor but not the wire harness to the sensor it what is it that I can do to make this transmission ride properly

Are you sure that's the problem cuz maybe it could be just like changing the fluid changing the filter you definitely need to start with the proper maintenance of the transmission change out the fluid and the filter and then beyond that see what happens?
