how can i reset the check engine light after i havw corrected the problem?

The check engine came on because of low oil level. I added oil. The car runs fine. The light is still on.

Unhooking the battery terminal will typical clear the codes.

Buy a code reader or have a mechanic reset it. An auto parts store might do it for you as well.

Replace the pcu, anyone can replace it. Google how to. I have good luck internet/ flag ship they'll even program it to your vin number. For 150. Total cost, a dealership wants 1850. Pcu controls the injectors , how much fuel, the spark , timming, o2 sensors, everything electrically, in your pt. Even the transmission shifting .
