Check your tail light fuse. When the tail lights go out, the dash lights go with..so you will know, and not be driving around without taillights

If the fuse is good, try turning the dash mounted brightness knob to the center so you know that it is on. I turn mine off sometimes if I'm cleaning the dash and I don't realize it.

Fuse number 2 is the problem. Had to replace it today on my 04. Check the fuse cover for specifics.

Most the time when you have someone or yourself get in we step on break lights come on. But if you don't press break pedal and you have running lights turned on but dash and running lights are off its usually a rear bulb. Just check them and find the color are.
